Historia
Formerly known as Ingenieros Unidos(IU) in 2013, students sought out a way to gather other peers as a way to lift one another as hispanic engineers in the making. About seven years and a few Alumni later, IU grew to become the Society of Professional Hispanic Professional Engineers at the University of California, Merced then rebranded to SHPE. The IU Way will always be preserved in our historia and guide us into our future; never forget we where we came from.
The SHPE UCMerced Collegiate Chapter belongs to SHPE Region 1. Wherever you go, you'll meet other SHPE members; the SHPE familia is nationwide!
